The finished designs
The students’ ideas about the area: gazebo, tables and chairs, swings, benches, vegetable garden, lawn and trees, flowers, mini golf, gym, bird feeders, gaming zones: table tennis, puffs, multimedia boards, umbrellas, desks and many more.
The students’ drawings are creative, thought-provoking, and open-minded. While planning, the students were all into the topic. They had lots of fun but were also brainstorming.
Politechnika Talentów
The IX LO school’s delegation had the pleasure of participating in the “Politechnika Talentów” event as part of the Architecture Panel.
Mrs Małgorzata Brasseaux gave a lecture and led workshops together with five students from class 3c (Krzysztof Durka, Laura Szymanowicz, Michał Piatkowski, Marcin Matwiej, and Szymon Berdys), who prepared and presented their virtual designs for our school grounds.
During the presentations, we were supported by experts from Gdańsk University of Technology (PG)—Ivan Vakulko, Robert Trzosowski, and Michał Barański from ETI.
As part of the Erasmus+ Freeland project, the main theme was promoting students’ civic engagement and interest in academic subjects. This included STEAM-related topics and the preparation of a revitalization project for a selected area of the city using a digital platform previously tested by students at our school.
The photos from the event are available on the Gdańsk University of Technology website. We received very positive feedback from the participants. We would like to thank the Gdańsk University of Technology administration, and especially Professor Jacek Lebiedź, for the invitation.
